According to Silsbee PD Chief Shawn Blackwell On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at around 10:59 PM, Silsbee Police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation, on a 4 door passenger car that was traveling east on FM HWY 418 in Silsbee, near Zip In Grocery. While investigating the violation, officers developed probable cause to conduct a search of the vehicle and occupants. The search led to the discovery of more than 12.5 ounces (~356 grams) of suspected Methamphetamine, 19 grams of suspected Ecstasy, 2 medium size baggies of marijuana, 2 handguns, and narcotic paraphernalia. Michael Dianni, a 24 year old male from Woodville, was arrested and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, >= 200 Grams but < 400 Grams, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2, >= 4 Grams but < 400 Grams, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Dausee Bates, a 22 year old male from Lumberton, was arrested and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, >= 200 Grams but < 400 Grams, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2, >= 4 Grams but < 400 Grams, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
